5 Things Everyone Likes About Coffee
Most everyone loves a good cup of coffee. Whether it helps you start off your day or you enjoy a cup or two with friends, coffee has become a rather big part of our culture. There are so many wonderful things about coffee, but here are a few of our favorite things everyone likes about coffee.
1. There’s something for everyone – Whether you want something hot or cold, sweet or bitter, strong or subtle, there is a coffee drink for you. Can’t have caffeine? That’s alright because there’s decaf. Coffee can be brewed, flavored, and made to meet most everyone’s taste preference. Even those who have certain dietary needs can find a cup of coffee to enjoy.
2. Coffee connects you with others – There is nothing better than having a good conversation with a friend over a delicious cup of coffee. There’s plenty of evidence out there that states that coffee connects people. Many early mornings were spent with friends drinking coffee around the kitchen table. Now, people meet at cafes and coffee shops. And, more coffee shops spring up in communities all the time. It might be a different location than the kitchen table, but we are still drinking coffee and chatting up a storm with family or friends.
3. Coffee wakes you up – Ask people what is one of the first things they do in the morning, and a majority will say, “I drink a cup of coffee”. There are t-shirts, coffee mugs, and even bags that state, “Don’t talk to me until I’ve had my coffee”. The caffeine in coffee gives us a jumpstart in our day. This energy boost is not only great for the morning, but is useful to get through your midday. Or, if you’ve got an evening event, grab a cup to help you stay alert during the event.
4. Coffee has so much culture – In many cultures, coffee is not just a drink to help get you through the day, but something that comes with tradition and history. Even in modern times, coffee has become an art form. There are many different ways to brew coffee and coffee shops are utilizing this on their menu. Coffee has become far more than just another drink.
5. Coffee is more than just a drink. – It’s a part of culture. This drink made from rich beans that grow in the soil has become a major part of economies all over the world. For many, coffee is a conversation starter, a health benefit, a part of their culture, a pick me up, and there is something for everyone.
